Detailed Itinerary

  • Day 1: Arrival in Manali & Drive to Solang Valley (2,560m)

    • Arrive in Manali and meet your trek leader. A briefing and gear check will follow. Later, you will drive for 30-40 minutes to Solang Valley, your base for the night.

  • Day 2: Solang Valley to Shagadugh (3,100m)

    • Trek: 3-4 hours, 3-4 km

    • The trek begins from Solang, immediately entering a beautiful deodar and conifer forest. You'll cross the Beas River and pass through the quaint Solang village, with opportunities for bird spotting. Your camp for the night is at the scenic Shagadugh meadow.

  • Day 3: Summit Day! Shagadugh to Patalsu Peak (4,220m) and back

    • Trek: 7-8 hours, 11 km

    • An early start is essential. The trail ascends steadily through conifer forests and vibrant meadows before offering breathtaking views of the Manali peaks from the summit. After celebrating conquering the peak, you will descend back to the comfort of the Shagadugh camp.

  • Day 4: Shagadugh to Solang Valley & Departure

    • Trek to Solang: 2-3 hours

    • You'll trek downhill to Solang Valley after breakfast, passing the beautiful Solang Waterfall along the way. Upon arrival at Solang, a vehicle will be waiting to drive you back to Manali, where your expedition concludes.

What's Included

  • Accommodation: All camping arrangements on the mountain, including high-quality alpine tents (on a sharing basis), sleeping bags, and foam mattresses.

  • Meals: All meals from the first day's dinner to the last day's breakfast. This generally includes hot breakfasts and dinners, along with packed lunches.

  • Ground Transportation: One-way pickup to the trek's start point and drop-off at the conclusion from Manali.

  • Permits & Fees: All necessary trekking permits, wildlife fees, and camping charges.

  • Expert Crew: Services of an experienced, English-speaking trekking guide and a dedicated support team (cook, helpers, etc.).
