Kanamo Peak Expedition

Day 1: Arrival in Manali
Reach Manali and rest for the day. A briefing session will be held to discuss the expedition plan. Overnight stay in Manali.

Day 2: Manali to Kaza
After an early breakfast, embark on a scenic drive from Manali to Kaza, covering 183 km in approximately 8 to 10 hours. The route offers stunning views of the Spiti Valley. Upon arrival in Kaza (3,800 m / 12,000 ft), check into your accommodation and rest for the night.

Day 3: Kaza to Kibber
Take a short 20 km drive from Kaza to Kibber, which takes about one hour. Kibber is situated at an altitude of 4,100 m (13,500 ft). After reaching, settle in and spend the day acclimatizing to the increasing altitude. Overnight stay in Kibber.

Day 4: Acclimatization Day at Kibber
This day is reserved for rest and acclimatization. Take light hikes around the picturesque Kibber village to help your body adjust to the high altitude. Overnight stay in Kibber.

Day 5: Trek from Kibber to Base Camp
Begin the trek from Kibber to Kanamo Base Camp, covering a distance of 8 km in about 5 to 6 hours. The Base Camp is located at 4,700 m (15,500 ft). After arriving, set up camp and rest overnight under the stars.

Day 6: Acclimatization at Base Camp
Spend another day acclimatizing at Base Camp. Engage in short acclimatization hikes around the camp and prepare physically and mentally for the summit push. Overnight camping at Base Camp.

Day 7: Summit Day
Wake up early and begin the summit push to Kanamo Peak (19,700 ft / 5,974 m). The total trek distance for the day is 8 km (both ways) and takes approximately 8 to 9 hours. After reaching the summit and enjoying the panoramic views, descend safely back to Base Camp. Overnight camping at Base Camp.

Day 8: Base Camp to Kibber, drive to Kaza – Manali
Trek back from Base Camp to Kibber, covering 8 km in about 3 to 4 hours. From Kibber, drive to Kaza and then continue onward to Manali. The total drive distance is 203 km and takes around 6 hours. Your expedition ends upon arrival in Manali.
