Detailed Itinerary
Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu
Welcome at the airport and transfer to your hotel. Briefing about the trek. Rest and explore Thamel. Overnight at hotel.
Day 02: Preparation and Official Procedures
Permit processing, gear check, last‑minute shopping, and expedition briefing. Meet your team. Overnight at hotel.
Day 03: Fly to Lukla (2,840 m) & Trek to Phakding (2,610 m)
Scenic 30‑min flight to Lukla. Trek 4‑5 hours to Phakding along the Dudh Koshi River, crossing suspension bridges. Overnight at guesthouse.
Day 04: Trek to Namche Bazaar (3,440 m)
5‑6 hour trek through pine and rhododendron forests. Enter Sagarmatha National Park. Steep climb to Namche, the Khumbu’s commercial hub. Overnight at guesthouse.
Day 05: Acclimatisation at Namche Bazaar
Rest day. Hike to Everest View Hotel for panoramic vistas of Everest, Lhotse and Ama Dablam. Explore Sherpa culture. Overnight at guesthouse.
Day 06: Trek to Tengboche (3,860 m)
5‑6 hour trek via Khumjung valley. Visit the famous Tengboche Monastery with views of Everest, Nuptse and Ama Dablam. Overnight at guesthouse.
Day 07: Trek to Dingboche (4,410 m)
5‑6 hour trek descending to Deboche, crossing Imja River, then climbing to Dingboche. Spectacular views of Ama Dablam. Overnight at guesthouse.
Day 08: Trek to Chhukung (4,730 m)
5‑6 hour trek alongside the river, passing through settlements. Views of Ama Dablam, Lhotse and Nuptse. Chhukung has a few teahouses. Overnight at guesthouse.
Day 09: Acclimatisation at Chhukung
Rest day. Optional hike to Chhukung Ri (5,546 m) for superb mountain views. Prepare for the climb. Overnight at guesthouse.
Day 10: Chhukung to Island Peak Base Camp (4,970 m)
5‑hour trek on rugged terrain alongside Imja River and Lhotse Glacier. Set up Base Camp. Overnight in tents.
Day 11: Base Camp to High Camp (5,600 m)
Steep, tough ascent to High Camp. Narrow trails. Set up camp. Rest and acclimatisation. Overnight in tents.
Day 12: Summit Island Peak (6,189 m) & Return to Base Camp
Early start (1‑2 am). Use fixed ropes, crampons, ice axe. Climb steep snow/ice slopes. Summit views of Everest, Lhotse, Makalu. Descend to Base Camp.
Day 13: Trek Back to Pangboche (3,878 m)
Descend through Imja valley, cross a suspension bridge, then ascend to Pangboche village. Visit the old monastery. Overnight at guesthouse.
Day 14: Trek to Namche Bazaar (3,440 m)
Retrace trail back to Namche. Enjoy the scenery and possible wildlife sightings in Sagarmatha National Park. Overnight at guesthouse.
Day 15: Trek to Lukla (2,840 m)
Final day of walking. Descend via Phakding and Monjo to Lukla. Celebrate the trek’s completion. Overnight at guesthouse.
Day 16: Fly Back to Kathmandu
Morning flight from Lukla to Kathmandu (via Ramechhap if needed). Transfer to hotel. Free afternoon. Overnight at hotel.
Day 17: Free Day in Kathmandu
Explore Thamel, sightseeing (Swayambhunath, Boudhanath, Patan) or relax. Farewell dinner in the evening. Overnight at hotel.
Day 18: Final Departure
Transfer to Tribhuvan International Airport 3 hours before your flight. Depart with unforgettable memories.

Essential Information
Physical Fitness: Excellent fitness required. Comfortable walking 6‑7 hours on steep terrain. Prior 5,000 m+ experience recommended.
Acclimatisation: Built‑in rest days at Namche, Chhukung, and Base Camp. Watch for AMS symptoms. Descend if needed.
Travel Insurance: Mandatory. Must cover climbing to 6,200 m, helicopter evacuation, medical expenses, cancellation.
Best Season: March–May and September–November.
Packing Essentials: Broken‑in trekking boots, mountaineering boots for summit, sleeping bag (-20°C), down jacket, harness, helmet, ice axe, crampons, head torch, sunglasses/goggles, sun protection, water bottles, first‑aid kit.
Local Info: Carry sufficient NPR; ATMs not available beyond Lukla. Hot showers, Wi‑Fi, charging at extra cost in teahouses.
