Detailed Itinerary
Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu
Airport pickup and transfer to hotel. Welcome dinner with cultural program. Overnight at hotel.
Day 02: Trip Preparation Day
Shopping, gear check, pre‑trip discussion with guide and team. Overnight at hotel.
Day 03: Drive Kathmandu to Syange/Jagat (8‑10 hrs)
Early drive via Besisahar. Scenic countryside, rivers, farms. Road rough after Besisahar. Overnight at guesthouse.
Day 04: Trek Syange/Jagat to Dharapani
Enter Manang district. Trail through barley, rice, potato fields and pine forests. Pass Kodo village. Overnight at guesthouse.
Day 05: Dharapani to Chame
Steep forested ridges, landslide sections. Views of Lamjung Himal, Annapurna II & IV. Small hot springs. Overnight at guesthouse.
Day 06: Chame to Pisang
Dense forest to curved rock face. U‑shaped valley between giant peaks. Arrive at Lower Pisang. Overnight at guesthouse.
Day 07: Upper Pisang to Manang
Upper route via Geru offers outstanding panoramic views. Visit Barge Monastery (largest in Manang). Overnight at guesthouse.
Day 08: Manang – Acclimatisation Day
Rest day. Short hike to Bhojo Gompa or Gangapurna Lake. Visit Vraga village monastery. Learn about AMS at Himalayan Rescue Association.
Day 09: Manang to Leder
Alpine landscapes, high altitude vegetation. Gradual ascent to Yak Kharka then Leder. Pasture area used by locals. Overnight at guesthouse.
Day 10: Leder to Chulu Far East Base Camp
Trek to Base Camp. Enjoy Annapurna views. Set up camp. Explore surroundings. Overnight in tents.
Day 11: Base Camp to Camp I
Non‑technical climb but at high altitude. Magnificent views of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Manaslu, Gangapurna and Lamjung Himal. Overnight in tents.
Day 12: Rest & Acclimatisation at Camp I
Rest day. Climbing leaders fix route and supply equipment to Camp II, then return. Optional short walk around Camp I. Overnight in tents.
Day 13: Camp I to Camp II
Climb rock band to Camp II (5,530 m). May use ropes, crampons, ice axe. Overnight in tents.
Day 14: Summit Chulu Far East (6,059 m) & Return to Camp I
Very early start (9‑10 hrs). Hard icy high‑altitude trail. Outstanding Himalayan views. Summit, then descend to Camp I. Overnight in tents.
Day 15: Camp I to Leder
Descend to Leder. Enjoy panoramic Annapurna views. Celebrate the successful summit. Overnight at guesthouse.
Day 16: Contingency Day
Reserve day for bad weather or acclimatisation issues. If unused, extra rest or sightseeing. Overnight at guesthouse.
Day 17: Leder to Thorong Phedi
Clean up base camp. Mostly easy downhill walk. Still at high altitude. Overnight at guesthouse.
Day 18: Thorong Phedi – Thorong Pass – Muktinath – Jomsom
Early start to cross Thorong La (5,416 m). Descend to Muktinath temple (pilgrimage site). Local bus to Jomsom. Overnight at guesthouse.
Day 19: Jomsom to Pokhara (flight)
30‑min dramatic flight between Annapurna and Dhaulagiri. Transfer to lakeside hotel. Explore Fewa Lake, World Peace Pagoda. Overnight at hotel.
Day 20: Drive Pokhara to Kathmandu (200 km)
Scenic drive back to Kathmandu. Free evening for last‑minute shopping or relaxation. Farewell dinner with team. Overnight at hotel.
Day 21: Final Departure
Transfer to airport 3 hours before flight. Depart with unforgettable memories of Chulu Far East.

Physical Fitness: Excellent fitness required. Comfortable walking 6‑8 hours on steep, high‑altitude terrain. Previous 5,000 m+ experience recommended.
Acclimatisation: Built‑in rest days at Manang and Camp I. Watch for AMS symptoms. Descend if needed.
Travel Insurance: Mandatory. Must cover climbing to 6,200 m, helicopter evacuation, medical expenses, trip cancellation.
Best Season: March–May and September–November.
Packing Essentials: Broken‑in trekking boots, mountaineering boots for summit, sleeping bag (-20°C), down jacket, harness, helmet, ice axe, crampons, head torch, sunglasses/goggles, sun protection, water bottles, first‑aid kit.
